About Me
Finding a therapist who you can trust and feel confident will understand you and your concerns is difficult. As a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of experience. I have helped individuals and families navigate a range of experiences, problems, and challenges including anxiety, stress, depression, eating disorders, grief/loss, family conflict, divorce, identity exploration, and life transitions. I have specialized training and expertise in treating eating disorders, perfectionism, and anxiety management. I will work collaboratively with you to develop a therapy plan that fits your unique needs.
During my career I have worked in both private practice and college mental health. Most recently, I was the Associate Director at the Syracuse University Counseling Center for 12 years where I also served as Coordinator of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team for student counseling and health services. Currently I am in private practice in Syracuse working with adults of all ages and teens ages 17-19.
In addition to my clinical work I have provided numerous presentations and talks locally and nationally on topics such as eating disorders, mindfulness, anxiety management, recovery from the trauma of sexual violence, and suicide prevention.
